A group of Tongan undergraduate students studying in an Australian university in New South Wales were happy to access outreach support in the Tongan language.
Collaborating with the outreach department, Huri Translations adapted the booklets for their Tongan students as well as for some of their other underrepresented students from the islands. These modules proved not only helpful but also mindful of the cultural context in which the students would confidently approach the information provided.
Feedback showed enhanced participation among the Tongan students in outreach activities.
